A school built around your child.

Not the other way around.

We started with one stubborn belief — that children deserve a school built around them. Around their curiosity,

their pace, the particular way they come to understand things.

Not one that decides in advance what they should learn, how they should learn it, and who they should become.

A Curriculum light learning space.
Preschool.
Unschool inspired.

All learning begins in wonder

Children arrive in the world carrying this wonder naturally.

They ask impossible questions.

They notice things we walk past.

They chase ideas with a seriousness that often looks like play.

We do not believe education begins with answers.

We believe it begins with the desire to know.

Our task is not to fill children with information.

It is to keep alive the spark that makes them want to seek it.

Because facts can be forgotten.

Wonder stays.

And a child who learns to wonder is a child who will never stop learning.

Home as pedagogy

Our school is set within a home, with all the warmth, rhythms, and imperfections that make a place feel lived in.

And from the moment you enter, something feels familiar.

Not because it is charming or unusual, but because we believe children deserve to spend their days in places that feel deeply human.

As you walk through the gate, you may find children gathered around a table, a parent in the garden sharing the names of plants, or teachers carrying bottles of paint into a room full of possibility.

The rhythms of cooking, growing, cleaning, making, and sharing shape the day as much as books, projects, and lessons.

Because education is not only found in what children study, but in how they live - in caring for a space. In helping prepare a meal. In listening to  a story. In being trusted with responsibility. In belonging to a community.

The small, ordinary acts through which we learn to care for ourselves, for one another, and for the world around us.

These are not interruptions to the curriculum.

They are the curriculum.

No two children are the same

We did not build a school to manage children. We built one to get out of their way — and to offer something rare: an environment worthy of their curiosity.

So we ask. How do you feel? What do you love? What do you wish there was more of? What feels hard? We listen to the answers — not to report them, not to fix them, but because a child who is truly heard becomes a child who learns to trust themselves. And we watch. Closely, quietly, without agenda. For the moment the eyes change. That small, unmistakable spark — when something clicks, or opens, or simply delights. That is where we begin.

We do have lesson plans, we come prepared, but if children are curious about what birds eat, what good is spending a week on colours doing to them?

Not quite a school.

At least, not in the way the word is often understood.

We are not a place where children spend most of their day being told what to think, what to do, and what should matter to them.

We are not organised around the belief that childhood is merely preparation for something else. Nor do we believe that learning happens only when someone is teaching.

The word 'school' feels too small for what we hope this place can be.

A school is where children go to learn.

We hope Eden is also where children go to belong.

To be known. To be trusted. To ask questions.

To discover what fascinates them.

To learn not only mathematics and language, but how to live alongside others, care for a community, resolve conflict, and understand themselves.

So yes, there are books and projects and lessons here.

But there are also gardens, conversations, shared meals, responsibilities, friendships, and long afternoons spent following an idea wherever it leads.

We see education as something larger - something that happens in conversation, in play, in work, in relationships, in moments of solitude, and in moments of wonder.

Parents are part of this life too. They read stories, share skills, tend the garden, cook meals, join celebrations, and bring pieces of their own lives into the community. Children grow up surrounded by people of different ages, experiences, professions, and ways of seeing the world.

Not quite a school.

A community of children and adults, living, learning, and growing together.
