"The first principle of true teaching is that nothing can be taught. The teacher is not a taskmaster or an instructor.
The teacher is a helper and a guide."
IS EDEN THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?
We are a small school,
and deliberately so.

Every child is unique, and no single school is the right fit for every family. We say that not to discourage, but out of genuine respect for families making one of the most important decisions of their child's early years.
You might feel at home here if you've ever wondered whether childhood has become a little too rushed.
If you're looking for a place where your child can spend their days playing, exploring, asking questions, building friendships, getting muddy, making things, solving problems, and learning at a pace that feels right for them, we'd love to meet you.
At Eden, we don't begin with a curriculum that tells us what every child of a certain age should learn and when. We begin with the child in front of us—their interests, questions, strengths, and readiness.
That doesn't mean learning is left to chance. Children encounter literacy, numeracy, communication, creativity, and problem-solving every day. We simply don't believe every child needs to arrive at these milestones in exactly the same way or at exactly the same time.
Learning unfolds through exploration, routine, discovery, relationships, and lived experience, helping children build not only knowledge, but confidence, independence, and a lasting love of learning.
If you're looking for a highly structured programme with clear academic milestones, frequent assessments, and a fast-moving curriculum, Eden may not be the right fit. These are not flaws in either approach—they are simply different philosophies, and it matters that yours and ours are aligned.
You don't need to be familiar with terms like unschooling, self-directed learning, or alternative education to belong here. Many of the families who enquire about Eden are simply looking for something that feels more human, more joyful, and more responsive to their child. We warmly invite you to visit. Spend a part of a morning with us. Watch the children at play, in conversation, in moments of discovery. Ask questions. Get to know us.
More than anything we could write here, that experience will tell you whether Eden feels like home.
ADMISSIONS
Welcome!
Admissions is a mutual process — we are deciding together whether this is the right fit. And that matter to us because here school isn't just for the child
I
Initial enquiry
Send us a note. Tell us about your child, your doubts, and why you found us. We respond to every enquiry personally.
II
A call with the founders
A 20-minute conversation. We will tell you honestly if we think this environment is right for your child and we expect the same honesty from you.
III
A visit day
Visit our space! See what the child responds to.
An opportunity to ask questions, meet the children, meet the community.
IV
A decision — made together
If both sides feel it is right, we move forward. We hold very few spots and do not maintain a waitlist beyond the current year's intake.
